How EEI Works

Eligible employees must apply for the tuition reduction each academic year. Once approved, the 50-percent reduction will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees, helping educators pursue their academic goals at a fraction of the cost.

First Step: Apply to WT Now

Being admitted to WT is the first step toward being eligible for the EEI Tuition Reduction.

  • Choose Undergraduate Admission for a bachelor’s degree, or Graduate Admission for a master’s or doctoral degree.

Next Steps:

Apply for the EEI Tuition Reduction

Complete the Tuition Reduction application for Community Colleges or a Region. 1A and 2A schools within Regions 16, 17, and 18 should use their corresponding Region application. WT Registrar will work with the Region or ISD to verify tuition reduction eligibility.

  • For 1A and 2A schools, an  Employment Verification Form needs to be filled out and printed on the school district letterhead and submitted within the application.

Register for Classes

  • Once you have been admitted to WT, you will meet with Advising Services to register for classes.
    • Admitted students will receive information via their student email on how to schedule an appointment with Advising Services.

Final Step: Fund Your Education.

  • Once you are registered for classes, your bill will be generated by the next business day.
    • The tuition reduction will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees.
    • Students must either create a payment plan or pay their bill in full before the payment deadline each semester.
    • Refer to the WT Business Office pages for additional payment details.
  • WT encourages all students to apply for financial aid and scholarships as well.
