Returning Undergraduate Students
Returning undergraduate students are former WT students or readmits planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree after sitting out more than two long semesters (fall/spring). To be considered for readmission, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Apply to WT
Begin the readmission process by sumitting an application.
Step 2: Submit Transcripts
If you attended another university since you were last enrolled at WT, request that your official college transcript(s) be sent to the Office of Admissions via Parchment, Speedy, or TREx (preferred method).
Your college may also:
- email your transcript to: admissions@wtamu.edu OR
- mail a sealed copy to: Office of Admissions, WT Box 60907, Canyon, TX 79016
Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid
You may qualify for scholarships. Complete the general scholarship application to be considered for all University scholarships. You are also encouraged to complete the FASFA.

- Returning undergraduate students who have not enrolled at any other college or university since last attending WT and are in good academic standing will be readmitted through the expedited readmission process.
- Returning undergraduate students who have enrolled at another college or university since last attending WT must submit official transcripts from the college or university and meet all general admission requirements.

Graduate Degree Time Requirements
Graduate programs are designed to keep your learning current, which means your coursework should reflect up-to-date knowledge and standards in your chosen field. Every degree has a time limit: master's requirements must be completed within six (6) years, and doctoral requirements within ten (10) years. The clock starts with the first course you complete toward your current degree. If you think you may need more time, contact the Graduate School. They can walk you through your options and help you stay on track to graduate.
