Registration is the selection of classes and arrangement for payment of tuition and fees by the appropriate deadline. Students may register and check their current class schedule through Buff Advisor by selecting Student Planning. Regulations governing course selection, pre-requisites, course load and admission requirements are published in the WTAMU catalog or can be obtained from your academic department.

Registration Dates

* ALL Newly admitted students must complete Orientation prior to being allowed to enroll.  Information on orientation can be found at https://www.wtamu.edu/admissions/orientation.aspx

Registration for May 2024 Intersession (2024MAY), Summer I (2024SU1), Summer II (2024SU2) and Fall 2024 (2024FA) will begin by Classification Monday, April 1, 2024:

April 1:  Registration opens 8 AM for all Graduate level students.

April 2:  Registration opens 8 AM for all Senior students and students eligible for *early registration.

April 4:  Registration Opens 8 AM for all Junior students.

April 8:  Registration opens 8 AM for all Sophomore students.

April 11:    Registration opens 8 AM for all currently enrolled and new transfer Freshmen.

NOTE: *Per Texas Senate Bill 459, students that identify as a “parenting student”, which is a student enrolled at an institution of higher education who is the parent or legal guardian of a child under 18 years of age, are provided early registration for courses.  Prior to the semester registration date, students that meet these requirements will need to send an email to registrar@wtamu.edu from their Buff email account stating they are a parent of a child under the age of 18 and are eligible for early registration. (Seniors and Graduate students already receive early registration, which is the first day registration opens.)

Students who are enrolled will be expected to submit a withdrawal from the University if their plans change.   While deletions for nonpayment are done, if a student has financial aid or scholarships applied to their accounts, these are considered payment and intention to remain enrolled. Students will be responsible for their university tuition/fee/room/board charges unless they withdraw prior to the first class day.  The Withdrawal Form can be found at the Forms link on the right side of this page.

Check the University calendar for other important dates.
