Registration for our Summer 2024 NSOs will open on December 1.
About
Our summer orientations are 2-day overnight programs that introduce new students to our campus and community. All new freshmen are placed in a small group with a current student leader. Orientation includes information on academics, campus resources, campus life, technology, traditions, and more. Students will also meet with an academic advisor and register for classes on Day 2 of NSO.
Each orientation is limited to 200 students. Tentatively, the orientations will start at 5:00 pm on Day 1 and end by 6:00 pm on Day 2.
Sessions will be divided up by academic colleges, so you will only be able to register for sessions specific to your major. If you do not know which college your major is a part of, you can view the full list of majors by department. If you have not yet decided on a major, you may select one you might be interested in or attend one of the sessions for the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities.
Dates- TBD
Family Sessions
We will have family orientation sessions on Day 2 of each orientation. These sessions will be separate from the student sessions and will run from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm.
For more information about Family Sessions, visit the "NSO Resource Center" tab.
2024 Cost
For students starting at WT in Summer or Fall 2024, we are moving to a new fee structure where all costs associated with orientation and admission are covered by the Admissions and Orientation fee that all students pay as part of their tutition their first semester. There is no additional cost for students or their family members to attend NSO.
