Family Weekend

1. The WTAMU Family of the Year Award seeks to recognize people who have made a significant impact and contribution to the life of a WTAMU student.
2. In essay form, please tell us why your nominee should be the 2026 WTAMU Family of the Year.
3. To nominate someone for the 2026 WTAMU Family of the Year award, submit a completed nomination form by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
4. All nomination forms and entries will be judged in strict confidentiality by the WTAMU Family of the Year Award Selection Committee. Your name and information will be removed from your entry to ensure an unbiased decision. 
5. Submissions will be judged on:
   • • Demonstration of family support
     • A commitment to their student’s education
     • Recognition of their family’s unique contributions
     • Enthusiasm for WT
6. By submitting this form, you allow the Office Orientation and Academic Success permission to mail or email your nominee(s) a copy of the submitted essay.

1. All nominations must be submitted by a current WTAMU student, faculty, staff, or alumni.
   • While many of our faculty, staff, and alumni are also family members of WT students, you may not nominate yourself.
2. The student of the nominated family must be a currently enrolled student in good academic standing.
3. The WTAMU Family of the Year Award is open to all students, including non-traditional households.
4. The winning nominees will be recognized during the Family of the Year Brunch on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

• September 15- Applications Close
• September 26- Winners Announced at Family of the Year Brunch
