Professional Profile

Dr. Brandon L Selby received a B.A. in Psychology from Western Colorado University in 2013, an M.A. in Counseling Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University in 2019, and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of New Orleans in 2025. Dr. Selby was named assistant professor of counseling in the Terry B. Rogers College of Education in 2025.

He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas and Louisiana.

Teaching and Related Service 

At West Texas A&M University, Dr. Selby teaches graduate-level courses in diagnosis, multicultural counseling, and counseling theories.

Research and Creative Activity 

Dr. Selby’s research interests focus on the intersection of culture and well-being, including the integration of individualistic and collectivist perspectives, communal coping strategies, and personality in clinical settings.
