Dr. Robin Satterwhite

Dr. Satterwhite has served as President of South Plains College since July, 2016. Before being named as president, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at the college. Prior to joining SPC, Satterwhite held several different positions within the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, including Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences. Prior to his academic positions, Dr. Satterwhite served as the CEO of two separate hospital and clinic facilities. Dr. Satterwhite is a past Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives and Past President of the Texas Society of Allied Health Professions. He has been a member of other professional organizations such as the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s Graduate Education Advisory Committee, the Research Committee for the Allied Health Research Institute, and serves as an executive officer with the Texas Association of Community Colleges. Satterwhite received the Texas Society of Allied Health Professions Distinguished Service Award in 2015, he was named Distinguished SPC Alumnus in 2013, and Distinguished Former Odessan Award in 2007. Satterwhite is also a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary International. Dr. Satterwhite received his associate of science degree from South Plains College, bachelor’s degree (BBA) in Management Information Systems and a master’s degree (MBA/HOM) in Management with a concentration of study in Health Organization Management from Texas Tech University. He completed his doctoral degree in Education (Ed.D.) with a focus on Higher Education Administration, also from Texas Tech.
