Board of Advisors
The Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts & Humanities Board of Advisors is dedicated to promoting the development and excellence of arts and humanities at West Texas A&M University and around the Texas Panhandle. The Board strives to:
Advance the growth of programs by endorsing excellence in teaching, creative activities, research, and service.
Encourage increased interest in WT's arts and humanities programs throughout the greater Amarillo/Canyon communities, the upper 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle, as well as the State of Texas.
Promote positive relationships with state and regional arts groups.
Assist the college in securing external funding for scholarships, faculty development, program development, and facilities.
Identify outstanding students in communication, English, philosophy, modern languages, history, music, dance, fine arts, and theatre from communities across Texas and encourage them to enroll at WT.
Advise the Dean, Associate Dean, and Department Heads on programming related to maintaining and improving the high quality and vibrant arts curriculum.
For inquiries about the Board and opportunities to serve, please contact Lauren Gaston at lgaston@wtamu.edu.
