Revett has taught at West Texas A&M University, Amarillo College, and the Art Center Design College in Albuquerque, where he was awarded Teacher of the Term twice.

Revett has also organized several galleries, and has hung countless art shows. He currently maintains the WT Experimental Gallery at Sunset Center in Amarillo, and co-coordinates most department exhibitions.

Research and Creative Activity

Revett is a prolific artist, and consistently shows his work on a national level. He has participated in multiple solo and juried art shows, and has curated group exhibitions for fifteen years. His work is in the collection of several institutions, and many private collections. While his preferred method of expression is abstract painting, he is proficient in a wide variety of media and styles.

Revett has extensive knowledge of Robert Smithson’s Amarillo Ramp, a famous work of Land Art twenty miles north of Amarillo. He was the official tour guide for several years, and still does tours for international visitors on a regular basis. As a result, he also has made substantial connections in the professional art world.
