Sariah Lovelady, BSN, RN, is a Registered Nurse and instructor in Nursing at West Texas A&M University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nursing Education and is expected to graduate in Summer 2027. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University in 2023.
Her clinical experience includes adult medical-surgical nursing and home health nursing. Before her current role, she worked as a staff Registered Nurse with BSA Health System, providing comprehensive care to adult medical-surgical patients, and currently practices with Givings Home Health, providing skilled nursing care, patient assessments, medication administration, care coordination, and patient and caregiver education.
Lovelady is passionate about preparing the next generation of nurses through engaging instruction, simulation-based education, clinical skill development, and evidence-based practice. Her professional interests include nursing education, simulation-based learning, student success, curriculum development, evidence-based practice, and clinical instruction.
Teaching and Related Service
As an instructor in Nursing at West Texas A&M University, Sariah Lovelady supports instruction within the Level I nursing program, assisting with Nurse Concepts, Pharmacology, and Pharmacology lab. Her teaching responsibilities include classroom and laboratory instruction, facilitating simulation using high-fidelity manikins, evaluating student skills, developing competencies, and debriefing simulations. She mentors beginning nursing students in clinical reasoning, patient assessment, nursing judgment, and developing essential psychomotor skills.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creating supportive learning environments where students can build confidence while connecting theoretical knowledge to clinical practice. Through simulation, laboratory activities, and individualized student support, she strives to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary for safe and effective patient care.

Sariah Lovelady’s scholarly interests focus on nursing education, simulation-based learning, clinical reasoning, student success, and evidence-based practice. Her developing work in nursing education explores strategies that support beginning nursing students' transition from foundational knowledge to clinical application. She is particularly interested in using simulation and realistic patient-care scenarios to strengthen clinical judgment, psychomotor skills, patient assessment, and confidence in nursing students. Her academic interests also include curriculum development and innovative teaching strategies that promote meaningful learning and prepare students for safe, patient-centered nursing practice
