Professional Profile
Dr. Peace joined the Department of Nursing in 2017. She received a B.S.N. from West Texas A&M University in 2008, an M.S.N. in Nursing Informatics from Walden University in 2012, and two Post-Master's Certificates, one in Nursing Education in 2014 and one in Online Nursing Education in 2016, from Walden University. In May of 2024, Dr. Peace received a Ph.D. in Nursing program, with a specialty in Nursing Education, from Walden University.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Peace teaches courses in the RN-B.S.N. track, Pre-Nursing, and in the Traditional program.Dr. Peace is a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma, the international honor society of nursing. She also serves on the CAB for Nurse-Family Partnership.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Peace served as one of the RNs during a clinical trial at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo to determine if the generic form of an antidepressant medication was absorbed and performed as well as the name brand drug. Based on the results of this trial, the generic drug did not perform the same as the name brand drug.
