Professional Profile

Julia Fauske joined the College of Nursing and Health Sciences in 2023. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University (2007) and her Master of Science in Nursing from West Texas A&M University (2024). Julia’s professional background spans flight medicine, intensive care, emergency nursing, long term acute care, leadership administration, and education, allowing her to bridge the gap between clinical practice and academic instruction. She is a dedicated nursing educator and healthcare professional committed to advancing nursing education through evidence-based teaching and hands-on clinical learning.

Teaching and Related Service

Since joining the faculty at West Texas A&M University, Julia has taught a variety of courses including Biostatistics, Special Topics in Nursing, Adult Health II, Nursing Skills, and served as a Leadership Clinical Instructor. She has also contributed to student success initiatives, curriculum development, and clinical skills training, with a focus on fostering critical thinking, clinical judgment, and professional readiness in nursing students. Julia is a Trauma Nurse Core Course Instructor and has training in critical incident stress management for crisis intervention. She also holds certifications for pediatric and adult life support and neonatal resuscitation.

Julia is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses, Air and Surface Transport Nursing Association, and the Emergency Nurses Association. Julia holds advanced certifications as a Certified Flight Registered Nurse, Trauma Certified Registered Nurse, and Certified Emergency Nurse.

Research and Creative Activity

Julia is an experienced simulation and cadaver lab consultant and instructor, providing cadaveric education for frontline healthcare providers and students across the United States. In collaboration with various communities and agencies, she delivers high-fidelity, hands-on anatomical training designed to enhance procedural skills and clinical competence. Her work in this area expands access to high-quality anatomical education for emergency, prehospital, and acute care providers, supporting skill mastery and improved patient outcomes.
