Professional Profile:
Sherri graduated from West Texas State University in 1992, and received her Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Master's Degree from WTAMU in 2000. She has worked in Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery, Labor and Delivery, Family Practice and Public Health. She works as FNP in Student Medical Services and The WT Wellness Clinic. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Texas Nurse Practitioners, National League of Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau. Sherri serves on the Coalition of Health Services Nurse Family Partnership Community Advisory Board, CTE High School Students Community Advisory Board, Texas Panhandle Centers Key Stakeholder Advisory Panel
Teaching and Related Service:
Sherri has taught Maternal Child Health Nursing, Populations & Public Health Nursing and Health Promotion.
Research and Creative Activity:
Sherri's interests include health promotion and disease prevention, holistic health, and pubic and rural health concerns. Research activities include experiences of nursing students and promoting wellness initiatives for university health.
