Distinguished Students: Each fall semester and spring semester, undergraduate students are recognized for academic achievement if they earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher in at least 12 semester hours of credit. To receive this recognition, a student must have no grade of “F”, “XF”, or “I”.
a. President’s List: 4.0 semester GPA
b. Dean’s List: 3.5-3.9 semester GPA
Graduating with honors: To receive honors notation on the diploma and transcript for a first or second baccalaureate degree, students must have at least a 3.5 GPA (no rounding up) for all work completed at WTAMU with a minimum of 39 hours in residence (courses for which tuition has been paid at WTAMU).
a. 9000-4.0: Summa Cum Laude
b. 750-3.89: Magna Cum Laude
c. 500-.37: Cum Laude
