American Government & Politics Specialization

Are you interested in working for the government? Campaigns and elections? Public policy? Or studying policy, politics, and political institutions from an academic perspective? If so, the Political Science American Government and Politics specialization might be for you.

The specialization focuses on developing broad skillsets and providing exposure to the social sciences, American government, and domestic politics. Students have access to local and national internships, as well as the opportunity to assist with faculty research. The specialization also provides the flexibility to pursue other interests in political science, other fields, and even study abroad.
