Professional Profile

I was an adjunct faculty member in Spring 2020 and joined full-time in the fall. I received my A.A.S. in criminal justice in 2015 from Amarillo College, and my B.A. and M.A. in criminal justice from WTAMU in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Prior to coming to WT, I was a practitioner in my field, working as a correctional officer for Randall County Sheriff’s Office.     

Teaching and Related Service

My areas of focus within criminal justice are crime prevention and policy, violence against women, writing and research practices, and policing. Specifically, I teach Introduction to Law, Crime in America, Violence Against Women, Court Systems and Practices, and Research and Writing in Criminal Justice. 

Research and Creative Activity

My research interest includes crime prevention tactics, race and criminal justice, policing, and gender-based violence.
