Professional Profile

Dr. Biery joined the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice in 2023. She received B.S. degrees in History and Political Science from Utah State University, a M.S in Political Science at Utah State University, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from George Mason University. Dr. Biery is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at WTAMU.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Biery’s areas of focus within Political Science include political theory, identity, and U.S. security. Specifically, Dr. Biery teaches Political Theory, American Political Thought, Women in Politics, Terrorism, American Foreign Policy, and Nationalism.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Biery’s research interests currently include domestic extremism, virtual ethnography, and issues of sovereignty.
