Freshman students have earned fewer than 12 college-level credits after high school graduation.

Transfer Student

Transfer students have earned transferable 12 or more college-level credit at a regionally accredited institution the fall semester or later after high school graduation.

Returning Student

Returning students that have previously attended West Texas A&M University and are returning from a break in their academic career. These students have previously completed courses at WT.

Transient or Visiting Student

Undergraduate students enrolled at other colleges or universities may attend WTAMU as transient or visiting students for one semester, provided their intent is to return to their previous college or university.

Pre-University Program

WT offers high school students opportunities to earn college credit while still in high school through the Pre-University Program (PUP), a dual/concurrent enrollment program.

International Student

International Student

International students are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Any foreign student residing in or planning to study in the US on any type of visa other than a resident alien card is considered an international student. Both Undergraduate and Graduate students who meet this criteria should select "International" as their application type.

What Comes Next?

Once you’ve started your application, schedule a visit and turn your transcripts into the admissions office along with your ACT/SAT score if you have under 12 hours. Upon learning of your acceptance, you may officially sign-up for new student orientation or transfer student orientation to begin your Buff journey.
