Starting a new year at a new school can be overwhelming. We have designed a check sheet for students to help guide through all the steps needed to complete to manage your financial obligations as a student of West Texas A&M University. Money Management Bootcamp is a 6-week non-credit course where you can learn about paying for college, building credit, overcoming financial obstacles, budging and savings. You also have the opportunity to earn a sholaship while taking this course.  2024 Money Management Bootcamp

To help our new students and their families become familiar with our billing system, below is a presentation with explanations of billing, federal aid disbursement, scholarship disbursement, sponsored billing, and emergency loan information. Also included is information on using our TouchNet system through Buff Advisor.

For the Fall and Spring semesters only, West Texas A&M University offers a deferred payment plan. This allows students to divide their total charges due into installments due once a month for four or five consecutive months. We have a 4-month installment plan and a 5-month installment plan. The below links will take you to our Business Office page to further explain the payment plan options that are available to students.

Emergency Loans and Payment Deadlines


You may receieve a refund of credit from an over payment on your student account by Financial Aid or personal payment. We may also owe you a refund if you pay your account in full and then decide to withdrawal from the university or drop a course. Please be sure to enroll in Direct Deposit withing Buff Advisor to receive a refund via direct deposit. Refunds via check can take up to two weeks to process before being mailed to your address on file. 

Refunds of Credit

  Just follow these easy steps below:

  • Log into Buff Connect and select Buff Advisor
  • Select Banking Information
  • Select Add Account
  • Make sure ACTIVATE is selected and hit Next
  • Add your routing and checking/savings info
  • Hit Submit and that’s it!
