Professional Profile
Ruth De Anda joined the College of Education and Social Sciences in 2020. She received her B.A . in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2005 and M.S.S.W in Social Work from West Texas A&M University in 2011.
Teaching and Related Service
Ruth teaches Bachelor level courses and is the Field Director for the undergraduate program. Over the course of her career, she has worked as an adoption and foster case manager for a local non-profit licensed child-placing agency. There, she was an adoption and foster care case manager. Ruth has worked as a medical social worker at Northwest Texas Hospital and as a social worker for Amarillo ISD. Before coming to WTAMU in a full-time teaching position, Ruth also worked at Amarillo College as an academic advisor.
