Chief of Staff and Assistant Vice President
Tracee Post began her career at West Texas A&M University in March 2007, serving as the executive assistant to the president. She currently holds the dual role of chief of staff and assistant vice president in the Office of the President, and serves on the president’s cabinet. This senior leadership position oversees the daily operations of the president's office, coordinates University-wide initiatives as directed by the president, and plays a central role in the University's organizational strategic planning processes.
Before transitioning into higher education, Tracee built a professional background that includes experience in business management, sales leadership, workforce development and training, recruitment and human resources. An alumna of WT, she earned her Master of Arts in Communication with a Leadership and Corporate Communication Certification. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, with a marketing concentration, from Emporia State University.
Tracee is an active member of the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education; she served as a board member and the vice-chair of the annual conference planning committee, and has contributed to the organization's operations, content, and communication committees. She is also a graduate of both Leadership Amarillo Canyon and Leadership Texas, and has served on numerous local leadership initiatives, including Leadership Women in Amarillo, WT Women, and as a board member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
Outside her professional role, Tracee enjoys photography, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Rob, and their family, especially spoiling their grandbabies and golden doodle, Coco Chanel Mademoiselle.
