Chief of Staff and Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communication

Tracee Post started her career at West Texas A&M University in March of 2007 as the executive assistant to the president. She currently serves as chief of staff and assistant vice president for strategic communication. As the senior aide to the president, her responsibilities include general oversight and operation of the President’s Office and the coordination of initiatives as directed by the president and the organizational strategic planning processes for the University. Her professional experience before serving in higher education includes business management, sales management, workforce development and training, recruitment management, and human resources.

She is a WT alumna, completing a Master of Arts degree in communication with leadership and corporate communication certification in August 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business with an emphasis in marketing from Emporia State University in May 1993.

Post served as the committee chairperson of the scholarship committee with the WT Women organization. She is a member of the National Association of Presidential Assistants in Higher Education (NAPAHE) professional organization serving as a board member and the vice-chair of the annual conference planning committee and serving numerous years with the organization’s operations committee, content committee, and communication committee. She is a graduate of the Leadership Amarillo Canyon and Leadership Texas programs. She also served as a committee member of Leadership Women in Amarillo and as a board member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals for several years.

She is happily married to Rob; together, they have a blended family with three daughters and a golden doodle, Coco Chanel Mademoiselle. Her personal interests include photography, reading, and cooking.
