The Professor Emeritus title is bestowed on only a select few. Faculty members who were employed full time for at least ten years and who retired from the University are eligible for consideration. Qualified retirees are nominated, letters of reference are screened by a review committee and final confirmations are made by WTAMU administrators and The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents.
