During storms, the pool patio closes then reopens approximately 30 minutes after the storm has passed. During water aerobics and lap swim times, the zero entry, lazy river, slide and vortex areas are open.

At the first sign of lightning or thunder the Buffalo Sports Park will close and then re-open approximately 30 minutes after the lightning has passed. Open Recreational hours listed above are set for year around for the convenience of students, faculty/staff and community. There will be times, such as during football games, holidays, etc. that the Buffalo Sports Park will be closed. Please check with the office staff at (806) 651-2323 to double check hours of closure. Also, a change in reservations. Reservations are NOT allowed to be made after Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. for Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
