Intramural Sports
Rec Sports activities are intramural sports that occur during the University year and facilitate men, women and co-ed teams as well as individual activities. A wide range of activities include flag football, volleyball, basketball and softball. Other sports facilitated are sand volleyball, spike ball, bubble soccer, golf, tennis, water polo, table tennis, corn hole, soccer and new and upcoming sports.
Intramural sports provide participants with a great opportunity to relieve stress and have a great time. Each sport consists of regular season play and a single elimination All-University Championship Tournament.
Recreational Sports has partnered with IMLeagues to bring you on-line registration for all of our sports and activities. Before getting started, be sure to check out the Fall 2023 Intramural Calendar, where you will find registration dates and deadlines for each intramural event. This website makes it incredibly easy for all participants to sign up for intramural sports and events. This system makes communication between Recreational Sports staff, captains, and players very quick and efficient. It also provides helpful information on leagues, scheduling, playoff brackets, and other important information.
All individual and team registration is submitted online through IMLeagues. Online registrations must be submitted by 5:00 pm on the last day of registration for that particular event.
All intramural participants will be required to create an account on IMLeagues.com. Online registrations must be submitted by 4:00 pm on the last day of registration for that particular event.
Go to www.IMLeagues.com/WTAMU/Registration
OR
Go to www.IMLeagues.com and click on the "Create Account" link in the upper right corner.
- Enter your information, and use your WTAMU email address (@buffs.wtamu.edu) and click "Submit." (You must use your WTAMU email address - NO GMAIL, YAHOO, ETC.).
- You will be sent an activation email, click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account. If you don't get it within a minute or two, check your spam folder.
- You should be automatically joined to your school - If not you can search schools by clicking the "Schools" link.
- You may now log in at IMLeagues.com and register to participate in intramural events.

How to sign up for an intramural sport:
- Log in to your IMLeagues account.
- Click the "Create/Join Team" link at the top right of your user homepage page.
OR
Click on the "West Texas A&M University" link to go to your school’s homepage on IMLeagues.
- The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join.
- Choose the league you wish to play in (Men’s, Women’s, Co-Rec, etc.)
- You can join the sport one of three ways:
Create a team (for Team Captains)
- Log in to your IMLeagues account.
- Click the "Create Team" link at the top right of your User Homepage page.
- Choose the sport.
- Choose your league, division of play and preferred playing time.
- Add your team and then click the "Invite Members" link to ask players to join your team. They will have to accept your invitation to join.
- Captains can invite members to their team by clicking the "Invite Members" link on the team page. Any invited members must accept the invitation to be joined to your team.
1. If they’ve already registered on IMLeagues: search for their name, and invite them.
2. If they have not yet registered on IMLeagues: scroll down to the "Invite by Email Address" box, and input their email address.
Join a team
- Log in to your IMLeagues account.
- Use the "Create/Join Team" link at top right of every page.
- Accept a request from the captain to join his/her team.
OR
Find the team's and captain’s name on division/league page and request to join a team.
OR
Go to the captain’s player card page, view his/her team, and request to join.
Join as a free agent
- Don't have a team in mind yet? REGISTER TO PLAY AS A FREE AGENT! You can list yourself as a free agent in as many divisions within a league as you would like. You will be visible to all members of the site and can request to join teams, or post information about yourself so teams can request to add you to their team.
