October 25-27, 2024

Families are valuable partners in helping students make the most of their University experience. Family Weekend will be filled with fun, food, and activities. Spend time with your student, meet their friends, and get a glimpse of student life at WTAMU. Mark your calendar for a great weekend with your Buff family.

This year, there is no registration process. You can simply meet us on campus and check-in for Family Weekend upon arrival. Check the schedule below for "Check-In" times and locations.

All events are FREE* and open to all family members and students! Event calendar is subject to change.

*Athletic event tickets are still at a cost. Visit gobuffsgo.com to purchase your game tickets.

Check-In	3 to 7 p.m.	JBK Student Center Legends Club	Check-in with us and receive your lanyard plus lots of fun and free goodies! You can also buy a Family Weekend t-shirt.
WT Volleyball vs St. Edward's	6 p.m.	The Box	Buy your tickets here.
Saturday, Oct. 26
WT in the Canyon	8 a.m.	Palo Duro Canyon Meet at the FUBC to carpool at 8 a.m.	Free entrance to the canyon when you carpool! Enjoy the beautiful Palo Duro Canyon with your family. There are no planned activities in the canyon this year, but we will have a handout for you with information and reccomended trails.
Family of the Year Brunch	9 a.m.	TBD	*By invitation only Family of the Year nominees will be recognized and winner announced.

Family of the Year Nomination

The West Texas A&M University Family of the Year Award seeks to recognize parent(s)/grandparent(s)/guardian(s)/family member(s)/mentor(s) who have made a significant impact and contribution to the life of a WTAMU student. By supporting and encouraging our students, Buff families also support West Texas A&M University.

All West Texas A&M undergraduate, graduate students are eligible to nominate their parent(s)/grandparent(s)/guardian(s)/family member(s)/mentor(s) for this award.

The 2024 Family of the Year nominations will open on September 16, 2024 and will close on October 4, 2024.

All submissions will be reviewed by the Family of the Year Committee. Check back for a list of our nominees
