Action-Johnny-Story

Johnny Story, from the small town of Pampa, has an unusual name, but he never thought he would become a "storyteller."

After earning a bachelor's degree in mass communication from WT, he excelled in media and received numerous accolades. He has won 10 Addy awards, 6 NBS national awards, and placed 3rd at BEA.

In 2009, Johnny joined WT Athletics as a Multimedia Developer, where he honed his skills in video, audio, design, production, and marketing. His work included projects with NCAA Division II, LSC, and media outlets such as ESPN and FSSW.

Johnny became the Broadcast Engineer for the Digital Communication Department in 2012. In this role, he managed facilities, mentored students, and helped the department win over 75 awards. He also produced videos abroad in Zambia, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Israel, and South Africa.

In 2016, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences awarded Johnny a Lone Star Emmy for his documentary "Blood & Steel." This was the highest honor of his career. The documentary followed the 3rd Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Hood, Texas.

Johnny was hired by Academic Digital Marketing at WT in 2022 to do what he does best: tell "stories."
