Acceptable Documents

• Bank statement

• Document showing an available balance that can be withdrawn at any time

Document Requirements - Documents must...

• Be on bank letterhead
• Indicate the account holder's name(s)
• Be currently dated (within 6 months of the date of submission)
• Show an available balance
• Show date of the available balance
• Indicate the currency (ie. USD (US Dollar), NGN (Nigerian Naira), etc.)
• Show at least 3 months of transaction history

WT Does Not Accept the Following

• Investment accounts of any kind (stocks, shares, etc.)
• Pay slips
• Documents showing the value of something (such as house, jewelry, vehicle, etc.)

Additional Required Documents for Company Sponsors

In addition to the bank document, the bank must also issue a document that lists all account holders of the account.

Each account holder must complete an Affidavit of Support

Additional Required Documents for Employer Sponsors

In addition to the bank document, the employer must issue an official document (on company letterhead) that indicates their sponsorship of the student. The letter must be issued and signed by an authorized company official (e.g. Human Resources personnel, company CEO)

• Indicate the full name of the beneficiary (who is receiving the scholarship/funds)
• Specify the beginning and end dates of the financial support/scholarship
• Be currently dated (within 6 months of the date of submission)
• Show a specific amount to be awarded or covered by the provided funds
• Indicate the currency of the scholarship/funds (ie. USD (US Dollar), NGN (Nigerian Naira), etc.)

Athletic Scholarships

• Once you return your signed athletic scholarship agreement back to the Athletic Department, they will provide your scholarship information to the Office of Admissions - International

Academic Scholarships

• Please upload a copy of your signed scholarship award to the Financial Verification checklist item in your International Student Portal
• The Office of Admissions - International team will then verify your scholarship with the appropriate office or department, to be included on your I-20

Graduate Assistant Funds

• Please have your academic department send us a copy of your Graduate Assistantship funding information to internationaladmissions@wtamu.edu
