- Career Aspirations: After obtaining my bachelor's degree, I plan to attend veterinary school in hopes of one day becoming a small animal/exotic veterinarian.
“Besides making friends and connections that I hope will last a lifetime, the best part of my McNair experience was discovering a newfound appreciation for research. During veterinary school, I will have the opportunity to participate in research programs during my summer breaks, which I plan to take advantage of. This would not have been something I considered if I had not joined the McNair Scholars Program. After veterinary school, I plan to pursue a career in industry, but I am also considering a future in academia. These are opportunities and career paths that I had not previously considered, but they are now an option thanks to the McNair program!."
