What does WT Community Resilience Corps do?

We support success in the Texas Panhandle by working with partners to build capacity within their organization and support direct service efforts. We work with partners according to their needs to recruit program members from the area of the Panhandle they serve.

Members don't have to be WT students. We recruit individuals from all sorts of experience levels and skillsets. Program members help organizations add to their programs and services, strengthen infrastructures, and thrive at what they do best: serving their community.

How does it work?

Each host site will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with WT Community Resilience Corps. The MOU describes the commitment of the program and the site. That includes recruiting and retaining members, supervision of members, work toward shared goals of building capacity at the site, and compliance with federal guidelines.

In addition, the partner sites identify performance measures that will be impacted by their member's service. With a shared commitment to develop the skills of a local community member and to grow your organization's reach, we're striving to make a difference in the community you serve.
