Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)

Welcome to the West Texas A&M University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) website. The IACUC is charged with the protection of animal subjects used in research at the University by complying with regulations specified by the Animal Welfare Act, 7 U.S.C. 2131-2159; 9CFR 2.22,2.80, and 37102(g) and operating under the U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, as well as with other ethical and professional standards.
