Tejas Membership Society

As the Center for the Study of the American West (CSAW) grows, so does its need to raise support for student internships, scholarships, outreach programs, and lecture fees. The Tejas Society offers a way for community members to support CSAW while receiving perks throughout the year. In addition to invitations to all CSAW events, Tejas members will receive the following perks:

Garry L. Nall Lectures in Western Studies 

  • Private Pre-Lecture Receptions (as available) 
  • Reserved Lecture Hall Seating 
  • Post-Lecture Salon Lunches, or exclusive online video meeting with guest lecturer (as available)

Forgotten Frontera Program 

  • Exclusive online meeting with Forgotten Frontera presenters

Texas Panhandle Ranch History Tours 

  • Invitations to yearly ranch tour
  • Ranch Salon Lunches (when applicable)

High School Outreach Programs 

  • Invitations to all High School Outreach Programs (in conjunction with Nall lectures, as available) 

Additional perks for 2021–22 membership 

  • Complimentary registration for the 2022 Texas Panhandle Curriculum symposium, a one-day event focused on the importance of incorporating place-based pedagogy in the secondary education classroom 
  • Reserved seating at all additional CSAW events

Membership

For $250 per year, you and a guest can enjoy these membership privileges while helping CSAW expand its footprint. 2021–22 membership is active from September 1, 2021, to August 31, 2022.

Payment

  • To pay by check, mail it to CSAW, WTAMU Box 60967, Canyon, TX 79016. Checks should be made out to “CSAW” with “2021–22 Tejas” in the memo.
  • To pay with a credit/debit card, please visit the WT Foundation website and when asked to choose a "gift designation," select "CSAW membership."
