Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

Reaffirmation of Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

Environmental Stewardship – Integral to Our Mission

West Texas A&M University is a proud member of The Texas A&M University System. As such, we are committed to the history of environmental stewardship reflected on our campus and across System institutions. Environmental stewardship is a commitment codified by the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents in System Regulation 34.01.03 Environment. As President, I heartily endorse the regulation.

WT’s commitment to environmental stewardship is proven and will continue as we plan, design, and build our facilities. Moreover, we have many professionals, workers, contractors, and volunteers maintaining our standards and improving our practices on a daily basis.

Thank you for the part you play in our commitment to environmental stewardship. If you would like to learn more, have ideas for how the System can improve, or would like to play an active role in environmental stewardship, you are invited to reach out to The Texas A&M System Environmental Manager at safety@tamus.edu. Or for more environmental content, please visit the Environmental Management section of the System’s website.
