Writing Center

University Writing Center

The Writing Center serves as informed readers for University writers. Our purpose is to provide assistance for specific challenges encountered by writers and to promote good writing across disciplines. In addition to proofreading for errors, we can provide feedback and guidance. No need to make an appointment with us because we accept all walk-ins! The Writing Center also offers brief presentations about services and grammar workshops for classes, campus organizations, and clubs.

Online Tutoring Option

Due to social distancing concerns, the Writing Center now offers its online tutoring option to all WT students taking any face-to-face or online class.

We typically review online papers within 1-2 business days. However, we only review papers Monday through Friday. Any papers submitted Friday afternoon or over the weekend will not be reviewed until Monday or Tuesday.

Online students may submit their papers for review through our online form. On the form, please upload your paper in a Microsoft Word format. We will then review your paper and contact you via email. Papers submitted as a PDF or in Pages will most likely not be reviewed due to editing restrictions.

Please note that we do not contact the student. Once you complete this form, you are responsible for communicating your expectations of attendance to the student.
