Special Population Orientation

In accordance with the state and institution’s guidelines during this time, Buff Nation: A Buff Branding and Orientation Event will be moved to a virtual format this year. Students who are not yet registered for NSO need to go ahead and register to attend the August Option. We will be communicating next steps to students registered for orientation. As a reminder, Orientation is still required for all incoming students.
Special Population Orientation
Not Freshmen or Transfer?
This page contains information for groups of students that do not qualify as Freshmen or Transfer . This orientation program is a free resource we offer to these students to help them succeed during their time here at West Texas A&M University. If you are a freshmen or transfer student, these programs will not meet your Orientation requirement.

Pre-University Program

The Pre-University Program is designed for High School students participating in dual credit courses through West Texas A&M University. This Orientation goes over the resources that are available to you while enrolled in this program. Follow this link to access the online orientation. There is no charge for this orientation.

Transient Students

The Transient Student Orientation is designed for students who enroll temporarily with the intent to return to their home institution. This Orientation informs you of resources that are available to you during your time at West Texas A&M. Follow this link to access the online orientation. There is no charge for this orientation.

If you are not a Pre-University or Transient Student, please use the tabs on the side of the page to navigate to either the Freshmen or Transfer Orientation pages.  Again, the orientation programs on this page do not satisfy the Transfer or Freshmen Orientation requirements.
