About Partnerships

We support success in the Texas Panhandle by working at host sites and with the partnership of the site. These partners are high schools, community colleges, WTAMU, and local organizations.

Each host site signs a Site Agreement with WT AmeriCorps. The Site agreement describes the commitment of the program to support the efforts of the host site. As the Program, we work with sites to recruit members through their resources and connections, and also can assign existing members to a site.

We train the AmeriCorps member and have periodic check-ins and events with the member. In turn, the site agrees to provide supervision for AmeriCorps members, a space to meet with students/beneficiaries, and a computer to complete program reporting. The site is also responsible to understand AmeriCorps policy around prohibited and unallowable activities and supporting the program in meeting AmeriCorps goals.

We want to have our AmeriCorps members integrated into the organization – working alongside the partner toward a shared goal of educational attainment, economic opportunity, and environmental stewardship.
