CANYON, Texas — Deadline is Sept. 11 for employers to connect with West Texas A&M University students at the 51st annual Fall Career and Internship Expo.
The expo, held by WT’s Office of Career and Professional Development, will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 25 in the First United Bank Center on WT’s Canyon campus.
It is designed for students graduating within the next year, those looking for summer internships or part-time positions now and in the future, and those with questions for employers about their future career options.
“We know that both employers and students both have real needs at this time, and we look forward to helping foster some meaningful connections at the expo,” said Sam Green, associate director.
A $200 early-bird rate is available through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 21. A $250 general registration rate will continue through 11:59 p.m. Sept. 11.
Sponsorships are available for $650, entitling companies to host a table at the Sept. 24 Networking Night. The evening will include a catered dinner, an employer panel and open networking with top student talent. Sponsorship also includes registration for up to 10 representatives at the expo.

Meeting regional needs and preparing students for the workforce are key components of the University’s long-range plan, WT 125: From the Panhandle to the World.
That plan is fueled by the historic One West comprehensive fundraising campaign, which reached its initial $125 million goal 18 months after publicly launching in September 2021. The campaign’s new goal is to reach $175 million by 2025; currently, it has raised more than $165 million.
