CANYON, Texas — Registration is open now for summer programs from West Texas A&M University’s Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences.

Sessions will be held Mondays through Thursdays from June 9 to 26, excluding June 19, in the WT Speech and Hearing Clinic inside Harrington Academic Hall WTAMU Amarillo Center, 720 S. Tyler St.

Children ages 4 to 8 with speech-language concerns will take part in age-appropriate treatment activities led by graduate student clinicians, who are supervised by WT faculty members.

Cost for the three weeks is $150. Space is limited.

To register or for more information, contact the clinic at 806-651-5101.

Cancelations will be accepted and refunds issued through May 23.

Addressing regional needs is a key mission of the University’s long-range plan, WT 125: From the Panhandle to the World.

That plan is fueled by the historic One West comprehensive fundraising campaign, which reached its initial $125 million goal 18 months after publicly launching in September 2021. The campaign’s new goal is to reach $175 million by 2025; currently, it has raised more than $165 million.
