Some notable numbers from the economic impact analysis report on West Texas A&M University for fiscal year 2017-2018:
- $747.3 million of added income value from WT to the Texas Panhandle.
- 12,225 equivalents of jobs supported, or 1 in 23 jobs supported in the Texas Panhandle.
- $508 million in local alumni impact.
- $42.1 million in present value of the Harrington Academic Hall WTAMU Amarillo Center, of which $39.8 million is in added income value.
- 60 percent of WT graduates remain in the Texas Panhandle, where a college graduate is expected to earn $27,200 more each year over an employee with only a high school education. That’s $1.1 million in lifetime earnings, and $2.3 billion in lifetime added income for all WT area alumni.
- $71.4 million on payroll for 910 full-time and part-time WT employees.
- $95.2 million spent on goods and services.
- $50 million (approximate) in construction costs -- $9.8 million in 2017-2018, and $40 million in 2019 for 8,500-seat Buffalo Stadium.
