CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University’s Department of Management, Marketing and General Business, in conjunction with a MKT4348 class, will host a special international business seminar on "Dealing with Global Financial Crisis—Part II" from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Wednesday,  April 8 in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center, Legends Club on campus.

The seminar is part II of a seminar presented in October titled "Financial Crisis and the Changing Global Business." Speakers will be Robert A. Juba, vice president at Merrill Lynch in Amarillo; Pat Ware, assistant vice president for Amarillo National Bank; Dr. Jim Owens, professor of finance and head of the WTAMU Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance; and Dr. Syed Tariq Anwar, WTAMU professor of marketing and international business.

Juba, Ware, Owens and Anwar will examine today’s fast changing global financial crisis and its multifaceted issues and market interventions in the United States, Western Europe, Asia and Latin America.

"This crisis continues to be a hot topic in the business and financial world and its consumer markets," Anwar, seminar coordinator, said. "The ongoing financial crisis and its global issues are not without controversy and will continue to impact governments, multilateral organizations and financial institutions worldwide."

The seminar is free and open to WTAMU faculty, staff and students as well as the business community.
