Jamie L. Allen

Project Manager for ACT at 250 Grant, West Texas A&M University

Jamie L. Allen serves as the project manager for the American Civic Tradition at 250 (ACT at 250) Civic Education grant at West Texas A&M University in Canyon. She brings nearly two decades of experience in project and personnel management, with particular expertise in grant administration and oversight.

Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Texas Tech University and subsequently completed a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in City Management. She began her professional career with the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, where she served for seven years managing a variety of programs and grants, including the Texas Panhandle Residential Safe Room Rebate Program.  She later advanced to a contract city management role, providing leadership and administrative oversight to several municipalities, including Lake Tanglewood and Timbercreek Canyon. In addition, Allen managed a significant regional planning grant in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation, contributing to the development and coordination of the region’s public transportation plan and system.

In 2014, Allen transitioned from full-time public service to focus on homeschooling her children and helping manage her family’s small business. She and her husband of 22 years are the proud parents of three children. The family is actively involved at Arden Road Baptist Church, where Allen has been a member since 1987. She anticipates completing a degree in Bible from Faith Bible Institute in May 2026.
