College of Business Inducts Beta Gamma Sigma Class of 2018

CANYON, Texas—Students at the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University were recently inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma for 2018. Membership in the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or graduate program at a school accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is by invitation only to business students who have met explicit academic qualifications defined by the International Honor Society’s Articles of Incorporation combined with chapter requirements relating to active leadership and/or service-learning.

Dr. Kelly McCauley, assistant professor of management, serves as the chapter adviser. Student officers are Mary Hayward, president; Marc Ferrell, vice president; Sara Koepp, secretary; and Cuong Nguyen, treasurer. Brady Marr, B.B.A. in finance and M.B.A. from West Texas A&M University, was the 2018 keynote induction speaker. Marr is the senior director at eCapital. Dr. Neil Terry, dean of the Engler College of Business, is one of 16 deans from leading business schools around the world currently serving on the Beta Gamma Sigma Board of Governors. Dr. Charles Whiteman, dean of the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University, is the current Beta Gamma Sigma Chair Board of Governors Chair.

West Texas A&M University has been recognized by Beta Gamma Sigma for three consecutive years as a Highest Honor Chapter. The students inducted into the 2018 Class of Beta Gamma Sigma are listed by hometown/country and major.
