CANYON, Texas—The WT Enterprise Center will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with a special screening of Dream, Girl, a feature-length film by Erin Bagwell about female leaders and entrepreneurship.

The event is part of a full day of activities to highlight female entrepreneurs beginning with a brunch at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Amarillo Museum of Art. There will be a fireside chat with Bagwell and LaChristian Taylor, executive director of the Texas Governor’s Commission for Women. Breakout sessions, led by female professionals who play an important role in the Texas Panhandle community, will follow from 12:15-2 p.m.

The evening activities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a red carpet and meet and greet with Bagwell at The Bowery Warehouse in Amarillo. The event and screening of Dream, Girl begins at 6 p.m., followed by a Q&A session. Panel members for the Q&A will include Bagwell, Taylor and Wendi Swope, Double U Marketing and Rep. Four Price.

Bagwell is a filmmaker and blogger from New York. In 2014, she created a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the project. She raised more than $100,000 and created her first feature-length film with an all-female crew. Dream, Girl tells the story of 10 ambitious women pursuing their goals as entrepreneurs and addressing the challenges they face along the way.

The event recognizes Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 14-18 and is designed to inspire women within the Texas Panhandle community to chase their dreams. An added bonus will be the premiere of the WT Enterprise Center 15th Anniversary video prior to the Dream, Girl screening.

Sponsors for the event are Amarillo National Bank and the Amarillo Economic Development Corp. For more information about the screening or to purchase tickets, call the Enterprise Center at 806-374-9777 or visit the website
