BuffTreks Program
BuffTreks is a new adventure in learning and engagement for COB students, faculty, and even alums. The goal is to gather in an exciting destination city, and focus on learning by seeing and listening. Guest hosts will help light the path, as well as faculty tour leaders.
Upcoming Opportunity - Albuquerque, NM
The Buff Treks Fall 2025 Tour is preparing for liftoff Friday September 26 through Sunday 28th in Albuquerque. We will tour Route 66 as it approaches its 100th birthday, visit Breaking Bad filming locations, and get a private tour of one of the premier collections of vintage neon signage, classic cars, antique tractors, and more. Along the way we’ll eat at 66 Diner, Sadie’s, and Ex Novo Brewpub.
Please join us for this amazing event! Your eyes and ears will be filled with amazing things, and the engagement you will have with other students and faculty will further enhance your experience in the Engler College of Business. There’s no price of admission, and the COB will cover one dinner. Students are responsible for all other travel expenses. Our event headquarters hotel is almost walkable from the airport, so you can drive or fly.
You can feel free to select other lodging as desired.
For more info, contact Dr. Anne Macy (amacy@wtamu.edu) or Dr. Nick Gerlich (ngerlich@wtamu.edu) for more info. We look forward to exploring the Duke City with you!
