Online MBA in Procurement Management
The MBA in Procurement Management at WTAMU is a specialized graduate program that integrates core business administration principles with advanced procurement and supply management strategies. Unlike a general MBA or an MBA in Supply Chain, this concentration focuses on the acquisition side of business operations equipping students with the analytical, managerial, and strategic skills needed to source goods and services effectively.
Students learn how to identify qualified suppliers, negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure ethical and sustainable sourcing practices. The curriculum emphasizes strategic procurement, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supply chain resilience. By understanding how procurement supports organizational performance, graduates are prepared to use purchasing as a strategic lever to enhance profitability and strengthen competitive advantage.
How is this program different from an MBA in Supply Chain Management?
Flexible Format
We understand that earning a master’s degree while maintaining full-time employment can be demanding. To support working professionals, our MBA programs are delivered in an asynchronous format, allowing you to complete coursework at time that best fit your schedule. You also determine your course load each semester, providing flexibility to balance academic progress with professional and personal commitments.
Our academic calendar offers four opportunities each year to begin or continue coursework:
- Fall: Last week of August – end of November (14 weeks)
- Spring: Mid-January – end of April (14 weeks)
- Summer I: Early June – first week of July (5 weeks)
- Summer II: Second week of July – late August (5 weeks)
This structure allows students to progress efficiently through the program while maintaining control over their pace of study.
