Professional Profile
Dr. Escudero joined the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business in 2025. She received a B.S. in Economics with a minor in statistics at the University of Texas at Dallas, and an M.S. in Economics and Finance from West Texas A&M University. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Texas Tech University in 2025.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Escudero teaches Principles of Macroeconomics and Labor Economics.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Escudero's main research focuses on health and labor economics. Topics include minimum wages, the earned income tax credit, Medicaid expansion, and investment in healthcare for both individuals and households. She is also interested in consumer behavior.
Personal Sketch
Dr. Escudero is from Amarillo - a west Texan born and raised. She enjoys traveling and reading in her spare time. Her and her husband have two small dogs who enjoy going on walks and playing fetch together.
