“A job I thought would be easy, and I would know it all. It turned out to be one heck of an experience, and I learned more and more every day how to be a better designer and make better work for both digital and print.”

Working as an intern for GriffinWink Advertising has been nothing short of a delight. My superiors at GriffinWink are endlessly supportive and maintain a positive, constructive, and accommodating work environment. Some of the biggest merits I can give the GriffinWink team is the appreciation I have to them for letting me play into my strengths, expand my knowledge in my interests, and allowing me to solve problems I wouldn't have come across in a normal academic environment. Interning at GriffinWink has given me the chance to work hands-on in a professional graphic design position as a legitimate part of a team, and for that I am grateful."

“Working with the Office of Residential Living has helped me hone my design skills in a professional, fast-faced, and fun environment. I have significantly expanded my portfolio with creative projects involving social media marketing, editorial design, branding & identity, apparel graphics, and print design.” “My internship for the Art Program has been a fun experience so far; exploring the relationship between art and design via the unique challenges presented by exhibition graphics. I enjoy the subject matter and am very honored to be able to highlight so many talented artists in my work.”

"My experience at Parkhill has been absolutely unbelievable! I was blessed with the opportunity to work here starting last fall and over the past year, I have been able to create logos, presentations, web graphics, infographics, and blog pages at the least. Parkhill has taught me the importance of work/life balance and that work can be more than a community but also a family, no matter how large the firm is. It has been an interesting journey, to say the least, but I was able to gain a lot of experience in the Architecture/Engineering world and if I had a chance to do it again, I would!"

“As someone who primarily works with illustrations I never thought I’d be doing an internship where my main focus is coding, but working with Chris and the Communication and Marketing team has been wonderful. I’ve learned that graphic design reaches far beyond drawings and posters- it’s almost everywhere! Not only have I learned the valuable life skills that come with professional settings, I’ve also gained the ability to design entire websites and do things with code I didn’t know I was capable of. I’m always encouraged to explore my own abilities and creativity, and I’m always learning something new. It's not just an internship. I was given the opportunity to really leave my mark on WTAMU by working behind the scenes and creating the graphics thousands of people look at every day. That’s a pretty cool feeling!”
