Our nationally recognized faculty excels in the preparation of professionals in education and the social sciences including criminal justice, political science, legal studies, social work, sociology, psychology, emergency management and public administration. Scholarships empower these future professionals to pursue their professional dreams. Importantly, generous scholarships enable the College to attract and retain the best and brightest academically talented and diverse students. The establishment of endowed Professorships and Chairs enables the College to identify and retain outstanding faculty members; to honor individuals for visionary leadership; to support regionally responsive research; and to educate, prepare and inspire future leaders.

The College utilizes several specially designed teaching spaces and laboratories containing the latest in instructional technology, working and learning stations, and research-based teaching materials. These discipline-specific environments are aesthetically attractive and unique in arrangement and presentation. Our high impact teaching spaces serve as centers of learning and exploration for future education and social sciences professionals in the areas of reading and children’s literature, early childhood education, social studies and language arts, STEM education, learning disabilities, and emergency management and response. Each learning environment presents meaningful opportunities to support and expand upon the impact of the teaching and learning taking place within the designated classroom.
