PS-8 Personnel Sanctions

Statement

The Human Resources Department, in conjunction with the department head, division head, divisional VP, and the VP for Business and Finance will maintain and support a formal sanction program based on approved divisional/departmental decisions in consultation with HR.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.

Implementation

WTAMU employs a formal sanction process for individuals failing to comply with established information security policies and procedures; and promptly notifies security personnel when a formal employee sanctions process has been initiated, identifying the individual sanctioned and the reason for the sanction.
