Statement
The University’s Human Resources department will be responsible for implementation and execution of all personnel screening as part of the onboarding process.
Applicability
This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, custodians, and users of information resources.
Implementation
It is the responsibility of the information resource owner or manager, in conjunction with Human Resources, to:

Screen individuals prior to authorizing access to university information resources, in accordance with WTAMU Rule 33.99.14.W1, Criminal History Record Information – Employees and Candidates for Employment;

Rescreen individuals according to a risk determination for changes in access or roles and responsibilities, and in accordance with TAMUS and WTAMU human resource policies and procedures.
