Statement

The West Texas A&M University information system implements mechanisms requiring proper re-authentication to systems.

Applicability

This Control applies to all West Texas A&M network information resources. The intended audience for this Control includes all information resource owners, and custodians of information resources.

Implementation

• Where possible systems shall be configure to require re-authentication by users for sessions that are idle for more than 4 hours.
• Systems shall limit the lifetime of browser cookies used for binding authenticated sessions to no more than five (5) days.
